Stirling Carers’ Garden

In April 2018 we secured an allotment in Bridge of Allan and work on ‘Stirling Carers’ Garden’ began. The vision was for a space where Carers can go to get away from it all, spend time outdoors, and get involved in growing fruit, vegetables and flowers.

After over five years in Bridge of Allan, Stirling Carers’ Garden made the move to a new location in Braehead Allotments. The new space offers lots more opportunities for Carers to take advantage of the space, which includes both indoor and outdoor planting areas, chickens, bees, wetland area, community events and, most importantly, toilets and place to make a cuppa!

Our Young Carers team has used the space for several groups and had their first harvest in Autumn 2024, and we had a brilliant time using the space for our Carers Week BBQ in June 2025. We’re excited to be a part of the fantastic work going on at Braehead Community Garden, and are looking forward to seeing the space develop.

If you would like to get involved, either with the gardening or would just like to go along to enjoy the peace and quiet, contact the Centre on 01786 447003 or email info@stirlingcarers.org.uk

Gardening Group

Two garden tools stuck in soil with text announcing The Carers' Garden Group meeting on Thursdays from 11am to 12pm at Braehead Community Garden.

If you enjoy a potter around the garden, join our new weekly Gardening Group at The Carers’ Garden. Come along and help with planting, maintenance and planning future crops. There will be plenty of time for a cuppa and a blether, and you can meet the chickens, see what the bees are up to, and much more.

🌱 Join us: Thursdays, 11am – 12pm, Braehead Community Garden
