DESCRIPTION:Stirling Carers Centre is delighted to offer a free 8‑week Mindfulness Course designed to support Carers with stress reduction\, emotional wellbeing\, and building moments of calm into daily life. \n\nCourse Dates & Format\nIntroductory Session (Online)\n\nThursday 29 January\n6:00pm – 7:00pm\nHeld online via Zoom\n\n8‑Week Course\n\nStarts Thursday 5 February\n4:00pm – 6:00pm\nRuns every Thursday at the same time (excluding 12th March- facilitator on holiday)\nDelivered primarily online via Zoom\n\nIn‑Person Sessions\nThe first session (5th Feb) and final session (8th Apr) will take place in person at Stirling Carers Centre.\nIf you’re unable to attend in person\, we’ll do our best to arrange an alternative option. \n\nWho Can Attend\n\nOpen to adult carers aged 18+\nFree to all registered carers\n14 places available (early booking advised)\n\nThis is ideally an 8‑week commitment\, as each session builds on the last. \n\nWhat Will the Course Cover?\nThemes include: \n\nWhat is mindfulness and why practise it?\nWorking with distraction\nKindness and compassion\n\n\nAbout the Facilitator\nThe course is facilitated by Sandrine Gardner\, who is fully qualified through the Mindfulness Association and experienced in supporting individuals new to mindfulness. \n\nImportant Suitability Information\nSandrine advises that: \n\nIf you have recently been under the care of a psychiatrist\, psychotherapist\, or counsellor\, you should seek approval from that professional before joining.\nIf you are currently going through a major traumatic life event (e.g.\, bereavement\, separation)\, this may not be the right time to undertake mindfulness training.\n\nIf you are unsure\, please feel free to discuss this confidentially before registering. \n\nHow to Register\nTo secure a place\, please contact Carley O’Hare: \n📧 carley@stirlingcarers.org.uk\n📞01786 447003 \nPlaces are limited to 14 participants\, so early booking is recommended.
